My Favourite Movie 2013

This is written in historical order. Please note that this is only my personal preference, does not necessarily mean excellent in technical or actor is great in acting. Only preference for me as user who already watched movie since 1990 :)

1. 28 Jan 2013 : Hansel & Gretel - Witch Hunters

   This movie is excellent because the story line was rather unexpected. The movie title suggests us something that is related to children fairy tales. But when I was buying the ticket it was emphasized everywhere that this movie is not suitable for children.
   The story is not focused on the Hansel & Gretel when they were children defeating the witch. Instead, it told about grown Hansel and Gretel hunting down witches. The plot is not very complicated, it is light enough for us to digest. Even we dont have to think at all. Pure entertainment.
   The fresh side is actually it was published when all the colossal movie were talking about scary witch murder, or kingdom crash down, horror, ghosts. This one has a slight bit of comedy combined with blood fighting. I like the scene where one of the monster's head was actually crashed down by another monster, no censors, but it doesnt look disgusting for a bit at all.
   The fact that there is no hurt, or disgust, or tragedy, in a classic set, makes a great combination to the movie.
   
   
2. 03 Mar 2013 : Zero Dark Thirty

   Second movie I like is Zero Dark Thirty. This movie is about hunting down Usama Bin Laden, which is shortened to UBL.
   The interesting part about this movie is this is based on real story. Unlike common movie story, which has a climax point which really drives audience nerve, this story seems flat. The climax scene which is the ambush to UBL house, does not really gives stomach churn to me, but it did seems real. That is the interesting part, it focuses more on the process rather than the result. And IT FEELS VERY REAL.
   Maybe that is why I like it. Among all movies which offers fairy tales, or too good to be true story, or too sad to be true story, this one offers very real, very soothing movie. One that does not make us dizzy and reflecting the fights in our lives, which all of us can relate, very well depicted.
